These are images from a group show at Toronto's North Light Gallery called "Intimate Contacts," featuring contact prints by Canadian photographers working with large and ultra-large format cameras.
As the exhibition catalogue explains: “For the photographers in this exhibit, the contact print provides an intimate connection with their subject and represents the ultimate expression of their art--an exact, detailed rendition of their seeing, shown on the finest print possible."
